Wonder how the hell Marc Almond got to hear it way back in 83 / 84?

It was widely available as an album track in the UK, but as it doesn't really do it for me, I've had some joy winding up a couple of mates who get all precious about it when I tell 'em I actually prefer the Almond version!

That came out on UK Polydor. Very fast.

I had a uk emidisc with 'down on the subway' / 'love ladder' off ebay around 2000. Dont know if it was authentic mid 60s or not. Sold it soon after when I got the swedish 45.

jack hammer's discography must be one of the most chaotic, weird international releases all over the shop.

How about his "Ode To A Discotheque" (UK Polydor), so obscure people look blank at you when you mention it..
