Soulfool Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Can anyone recommend any online retailers, looking to purchase a new deck/amp/speakers package, cheap but quality? David.
Tony A Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Can anyone recommend any online retailers, looking to purchase a new deck/amp/speakers package, cheap but quality? David. Check out Richer Sounds, look online for deals, check for local store, go along and have a sound demo, they will find you a package to suit your needs. No I don't work for them, but have had some good products at the right price.
Only Dreaming Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Richer sounds for me every time...great prices and service. Cheers Dave
Steve S 60 Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Super-fi aren't bad, had a few ex-demo and open box items from there, and just waiting delivery of a new Pro-ject Essentials II turntable, which I ordered when they had 10% off everything for Black Friday. My youngest son is after a deck, amp and speakers and I'm looking into a Denon DM39 mini system with a Denon DP200USB deck and a pair of Q Acoustics 2010i speakers. The DM39 has CD and DAB, digital and analogue inputs. The deck has a built-in phono stage so will connect directly into the DM39, and can archive vinyl directly to a USB stick. The DM39 and 2010i's are both award winners. Priced the lot up for £425 at Peter Tyson's, who also trade through Amazon, and throw in 5m of decent speaker cable. Richer Sounds will probably match that. https://www.testfreaks.com/turntables/denon-dp-200usb/ https://www.petertyson.co.uk/ebuttonz/ebz_product_pages/denon_rcd-m39_with_q_acoustics_q2010i.shtml https://www.petertyson.co.uk/ebuttonz/ebz_product_pages/denon_dp-200usb.shtml?cpc&gclid=CKfV1NjbmLsCFUzHtAodzBcA-A

Steve S 60 Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 Knew this was the place for info, all very helpful, thanks Guys, David Don't know if you've sorted yourself out yet David, but I've taken delivery of the Denon deck, mini hi-fi and Q Acoustic speakers and set them up for my son. Absolutely superb sound for the money, great features on the Denon kit, my lad's really chuffed, as am I. Thoroughly recommended, I just need him to let me archive some of my vinyl now.

Steve S 60 Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 Cambridge hi fi range from Richer Sounds is cheap and lasts for years, if they stilll do it They certainly do. I've got a Cambridge amp and CD I bought about 12 years ago. The new Cambridge stuff is highly rated. British made to boot.
