TheBigO
Whilst shouting at the debate going on on Jeremy Vine's Radio 2 show the other day in the car,he played a toon I've known for years and hit me with 'I never knew that! Of Course!!!' moment. It was Marvin's 'Abraham, Martin, John' and as he introduced it he said it wasn't a religious statement but about dead heroes; i.e: Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King and John F Kennedy. Having listened to the record as I said for years I couldn't believe I hadn't noticed that in all that time! Anyone else had similar where you know and love a record thinking its about one thing but upon listening again you realise its about something completely different? Pete S
You have to be kidding? There's even a version which uses commentary from the assassinations of Kennedy and King between the verses! 2 Link to comment Social source share
TheBigO
Not heard that one Pete and sadly no not kidding. I blame the years of travelling home from nighters half asleep full of Lucozade (cough) and not really paying attention. The embarrassing thing is that its so bleeding obvious too!!!!!
