But i will say now great venue and great nite. Here is what i played (extra kudos to whom ever spots the link between the records that i played). As usual (US) unless otherwise stated. The Marvettes- too many fish in the sea (uk) Spiral Staircase- More today than yesterday Susan Maughan- That other place (uk) Lenis Guess- Thank you baby Frankie Valli- Thje Night (uk) The Newbeats- Crying my heart out Gene Latter- Funny face girl (uk) The Combo Kings- The psychedelic theme Stevie Wonder- Uptight (everything's alright) (uk) Ramsay Lewis- Wade in the water Lynne Randell- Stranger in my arms (Aus) Bobby Wilson - Feels good Sue lynne - Don't pity me (uk) The Gems I'll be there Laura lee- To win your heart (uk) Martha Reeves & the Vandellas- Heartless Shirley Ellis- Soul time (uk) Gayle Adams- Baby i need your loving The spellbinders- Help me( get my self back together again) (uk) If you have realized that so far i've been playing little hole- big hole very well done( Turned up and there was no middles and i only had 1 with me) But got 2 now. Paul Anka- When we get there Peggy March- If you loved me The Apollas- Mr Creator Don Thomas- Come on train Lou Johnson- Unsatisfied The Fuller Brothers- Times a wasting Mickey Moonshine- Name it you got it (uk) Millie Jackson- A house for sale (uk) So that was my spot (and for a change i even had people dancing). I just wish that the DJ's that followed me would put their lists up as it was a cracking nite and the dance floor was rather busy. Edited November 16, 2013 by Gogs
Guest Gogs Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 Couldn't get there but liked your playlist Thanks Scott it was a great nite. Try to make the next one in March. (but bring plenty cash, £2 for a can of juice and almost £5 for a pint of lager). Counting the £8-£10 entry fee it can be a dear nite.(but i would say that on last nites experience it is well worth it).
Guest Gogs Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 Been talking to the promoter and he reckons that the charges will be cut by a £1 a pint for the next one.
