Okeh Letter Colours

Just bought Major Lance Monkey Time. Some copies have gold letters some have silver. Is one any earlier than the other? My copy has the silver letters. Any info would be appreciated.

Gold Okeh's are just an earlier different design, they phased them out and replaced them with white ones

(ah but you said silver - so ignore me)

HI ALL ..Pete I have had both gold & silver issues on 7168 DELILAH, I have always assumed that the silver press was later, but it could be because the label was on the cusp & some plants were using up old stock? however the label changed both colours not to long after.  DAVE K
