Boogaloo Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 (edited) Boot sale Hiya folks. Call them 2nd issues if you want but I’m selling the following items. I've reduced the prices from the first listing. They are £7.50. Payment via paypal is fine. Please feel free to comment on the sale or items within it as knowledge is always a good thing. Please note that although I’ve listed the label on some of them these ARE NOT ORIGINAL RECORDS. All play great by the way. Popular Post Pete S Posted November 9, 2013 Popular Post Posted November 9, 2013 Some of these are worth £25. Some are only worth £5. Worth doing a bit of price checking first. Nobody's going to pay £25 for a Rita Dacosta bootleg. 5
Dazdakin Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Hmmm I agree. Me thinks you would only get £25 for only one (maybe) bits and pieces because its A big reactivation spin right now. But hey ho and good luck to ya Dazz
Modernsoulsucks Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 As you asked for comments, I would hate to see this sales forum go the same way as UK EBay. Full of boots and overpriced tat. I'd hope all members would strive to keep that from happening. ROD [Forum Moderator] 1
Mal C Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Cecil Washington - I don’t like to lose - Soul sounds Offer you 5 for this mate... Malcolm

Boogaloo Posted November 10, 2013 Author Posted November 10, 2013 Hay guys I asked for comments on the sale so don't mind if you feel they are over/underpriced. Pete as you started this I would be very interested in which ones you think are valued at £25 plus and why. Cheers
Boogaloo Posted November 10, 2013 Author Posted November 10, 2013 Hiya folks Been asked a few times about which copies they are and whether they are newer or older boots. i know that a fair few of them were done in the 70's but I have to honestly say I DON'T KNOW with some of them. I checked most of them with Manships guide and was actually quite impressed with how ingenious some of the older counterfeiters were. If I were to give advice I'd assume that they aren't 70's boots and if they turn out to be then it's a bonus. Can't say fairer than that, eh?
Pete S Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 The ones below were done in the 80's, 90's (mainly) and 00's, the others were all done in the 70's (1st section I mean) Natuarl Four/ I thought you were mine/Eddie Bishop - Call me -ABC Patti Austin - I’ve give you all my love - Coral Martels - Where can my baby be - A La Carte Frankie Karl - You should have held on - Congress Donna Coleman - Your loves too strong - Avin/Chandlers - You love makes me lonely - Col Soul Bettye Swann - Kiss my love goodbye - Atlantic Jackie Lee - Darkest Days/Oh, my darlin’ - Mirwood (Solid middle) The Trends - Thanks for a little lovin - ABC Tangeers - Let my heart and soul be free - Oheh
Boogaloo Posted November 11, 2013 Author Posted November 11, 2013 I've removed those that have been booked and paid for. Cheers
Labeat Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 These BOOTS were made for walking..... so toddle off
Boogaloo Posted November 12, 2013 Author Posted November 12, 2013 Recycled humour. Very apt but less original than the tunes themselves.
Boogaloo Posted November 13, 2013 Author Posted November 13, 2013 I've taken off the sold ones again to update the post. If I've not replied to anyone yet bear with me. Cheers
Boogaloo Posted November 15, 2013 Author Posted November 15, 2013 Hiya Just reduced the prices on these items
Boogaloo Posted November 21, 2013 Author Posted November 21, 2013 ........and even further reductions means I'm practically giving them away. Just saw the Mel Britt on Sean Chapman's site for £50. Call me Daddy Christmas if you like. Cheers 1

Boogaloo Posted November 22, 2013 Author Posted November 22, 2013 And that's a benchmark? Now, now Pete. In sales lingo it's called 'comparison conditioning'. There, you learned something new today.

Boogaloo Posted February 18, 2014 Author Posted February 18, 2014 Now that's what I call a bargain. If there's a clash on any items preference will be given to those who buys multiple items. Cheers
