However, if you scroll down to the bottom of the page, he'd already sold these two records on september the 1st. Same identical copies. Pete S
No I'm wondering how he can sell these two records, and then a month later he can sell the same identical records. Unless someone allegedly bid on them for him to stop them selling for prices too low, so he doesn't have to sell them. I'd love to see the list of bidders on his other stuff to see how he managed to get such high prices on everything. But I could be totally wrong and it's all legit. 1 Link to comment Social source share

Derek Pearson
I can see exactly where you're coming from on this Pete but at the risk of me sounding very naive there is the slim, outside chance that he or his mate (or between them) have/has multiple copies of said records and the seller had just re-used the same scan. In the world of buying and selling anything is possible. Derek Link to comment Social source share

Buyer could have backed out and if he did a Second Chance Offer nobody interested anymore. However in my experience, sadly I have to say, it could well be dodgy, guess we'll never know. Now !! Something that is disputable is this guy, check out his feedback, how many copies of Art Freeman and James Barnett does this bloke have ? https://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=famerod&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2776 I count about 20 Art Freemans within a 12 month period !! Chris Turnbull
Just came across this one today on Ebay, now ended - hope you can see the link https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/timi-yuro-itll-never-be-over-for-me-united-artists-/141089364892?pt=UK_Records&hash=item20d994db9c If you can't, there is a photo of Timi Yuro 'It'll never be over for me' on UK Liberty, with the following description (for what sense it makes):- "massive floor filler - again scan has been put onto record on b sibe is garnet mimms looking for you, label scan not put on by me" Finished with 12 bids at £34.00 Wonder who paid £34 for it, and what they think they're getting? Britmusicsoulfan
The one that is listing all of those Art Freeman 45s is a chap that works at Fame Studios, hence all of the mint copies being offered. Link to comment Social source share
Mike Lofthouse
As I intimated earlier it is Rick Hall's son Rodney Hall. I had hoped the comment that he was 'disputable' would of been removed or at least retracted. It's a disgrace that it remains in a topic titled 'Dodgy Dealings?' Dave Moore
There's more than one record he's sold twice Dave. Does look a bit odd. Anyone contacted him? I'd bet my house at least some of the buyers are members on here. Regards, Dave. Link to comment Social source share
Pete S
Does look a bit odd. Anyone contacted him? I'd bet my house at least some of the buyers are members on here. Regards, Dave. Not much point really - we aren't the police or anything. I'm just thinking that the first time it was advertised, someone bid it up so that it wouldnt go for less than they wanted it to, and it didn't make it so it went to the mate - second time, mate bids it up again but someone outbids him this time, record is sold once and for all. Though the Gene McDaniels sold for less the second time than it did the first time. Of course someone could have two copies of Chubby Checker - I once had a demo and an issue at the same time - but 2 issues, unlikely. So, I might as well close this one now, nothing more to add really. Link to comment Social source share
