Thecivilservice Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Whilst looking through some of my boxes of records I found this Sandy Layne 45 - most of the copies about seem to be DJ copies but issues seem to be a bit hard to find so any idea how much this is worth now? cheers, Rob
Eddie Hubbard Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 I used to have an issue ,covered by Richard at Wigan as Nancy Ames " How many tears must I cry " ....
Glynthornhill Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 Sold a demo last year for £20 so would have thought the issue in the same ball park region
Thecivilservice Posted September 25, 2013 Author Posted September 25, 2013 thanks for the info, I'll just have to see what I get on ebay https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/350884894865?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
22ndsoul Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 (edited) Just a bit of info on this record,it was played around the Yorkshire area mid to late 70s.My copy is cracked so i bid for one on Ebay three or four years ago and didn't win it,five minutes later i received a message from an Ebay member in the States asking me why i'd bid on it,so i explained it's history on the soul scene. The lady replied telling me how amazed she was because Sandy Layne is her mother and it's the only record she ever recorded.Sandy is still alive but her husband Bob Duncan who produced the record had recently died.
