Premium Stuff Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 Hi everyone I know Jeanette Williams "All Of A Sudden" was bootlegged - reasonably convincingly. Anyone know if it was definitely only the issue that was booted? I have a demo and it seems to match up with the description of an original Of course, being a demo could be conclusive. If real, which I think it is, what is the current value of a demo please? Cheers Richard
Northern Soul Uk Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 I don't think the demo got booted, I think it was only the release copies that were.
Guest MrC Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 It was definitely just the issue that got booted. Nice on a demo, but not sure what current value would be, haven't seen one for a while.

Epic Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 Great record - what Northern Soul is all about !!!
purist Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 (edited) I completely disagree with the above. The Boots which I remember from the 70's had the phrase "promotional not for sale" on the left hand side of the All Of A Sudden side, but the font looks 'wrong' (when compared to the font they used for genuine promo's) Most have a mottled look to the red where they were left out to weather, but the people involved didn't notice it had started to rain Edited September 18, 2013 by purist
purist Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 (edited) Also, think the other Back Beat's I've got have the promotional information on the right hand side ???? https://rateyourmusic.com/release/single/jeanette_williams__randb_/somethings_got_a_hold_on_me___longing_for_your_love/ Edited September 18, 2013 by purist
Pete S Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 Just to confirm what John says. Originals have a very glossy, smooth red/orange label, reissues are mottled and vinyl is much thinner
