boba Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 Hi. I did a pretty cool music show today; the first half hour of the show is male and female 60s Motown while the rest of the show has a ‘70s-’80s rare groove feel. I especially like the Miller, Miller, Miller & Sloan track -- a super catchy boogie track from 1980 with fantastic harmonies by a kiddie family band who definitely don’t have the look of an R&B group. I can't stop listening to it... Anyways, you can check out the show at: https://www.sittinginthepark.com/9-8-2013.mp3? You can listen to other shows and interviews with Chicago groups by going to my main page www.sittinginthepark.com Also, if someone you know wants to subscribe to this email list, they can add themselves at the following URL: https://eepurl.com/n7Qr5 Playlist follows and I hope you enjoy the show. Guest Polyvelts Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 Really enjoyed this one, mainly because so many of these are cheap as chips (that's French fries to you bob !) but the stand out track for me is Brenda Lee Eager - what a great tune !!! Rob
boba Posted September 10, 2013 Author Posted September 10, 2013 the brenda lee eager is pseudo in demand now because people started playing it after fonce mizell passed. Still only like a $50 record. Thanks for listening to my show and the positive comments, i really appreciate it.
Guest Polyvelts Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 That makes sense that its a Mizell production - that surely MUST be Bobbi Humphrey on flute then !! Epic !!
