It always struck me in these old ads how they had a mixture of artists names and track titles.

Wonder what the logic was, they all seemed to be the same

CORRECT!...and, apparently, it was on an acetate and speeded up.

There was some horrific mis-spelling of titles back then too. "Slau Fizz", Bock to Boc" and "Skying In The Snow" come to mind......

Still happens to this day - "mis-spelling" isn't hyphenated!

They probably tried to do the readers a favour. I mean, who wants to go to a club where they play tracks called skiing in the snow?

One I remember in the new release secton of B&S was Felice Taylor "I Fell Over Coming On"!!! Painful!
