The Motown Sound may be brilliant to us all,but behind the scenes it just stinks.Nearly every book you read on it Berry Gordy comes across as the big bad wolf.Except his own .

Very sad indeed.  The royalties from "I Heard It Through The Grapevine" alone would have set him up comfortably for life.  Should have read the small print.
