To quote DJ Harboro Horace’s notes from the recently release 12 track album tribute “Ty’s Voice can be as tough as teak or as seductive as an A-List Hollywood heartthrob”

Voomins
March Of The Voomins C/w If You Don't Come Back
Capturing the true mood of the British MODS of 1964 -
presumably this outrageously effective instrumental was a shot across the bows of The Executives and Joe Loss’s awfully wide of the mark “March Of The Mods”; As The Voomins hit dead-center capturing the very essence of early cult movement of MOD!
With the flipside showing off a R&B influenced lead singer who with wishes to be “black” but his unconvincing snarling only underlines the groundswell of appreciation for black music driving the MOD club scene forward.
This 1964 British release is in stunning near Mint - condition and still living in it’s birth sleeve of near 50 years, and saturated in the 1964 mood of MOD lift-off!

I - 20 Connection
Dreamin'
RARE late 70s Georgia soulful dance from the desk of Calvin Arnold.
Calvin was most probably inspired by the best Philadelphia production as the fuses jazz with strong orchestra strings enhancing the uplifting rhythm. Very like Billy Paul’s work in style and deliver as the arrangement twists and jerks around delivering a powerful dance production.
PERFECT for today’s rare-soul dance scene - classy, precise and VERYRARE!
this elusive disc has a few light surface marks but as you hear throughout te compelling 3 minutes it plays without any distractions!
LOVEIT!

Nicky C & The Chateaux
Those Good Times C./w Try Some Soul
RARE!
Uplifting horn-driven vocal-group Northern Soul from Baltimore. This has to be not only the most-elusive but also most-exhilarating tune on the label. One of those 3 minutes that just leave feeling, so very much better for hearing it.
Having said that you just don’t hear it enough, rarity has stunted it’s growth, thus stifling dance-floor awareness. Imagine something as instant as this hitting the decks full volume; of say Kings Hall, Stoke or Prestatyn - we think it would intensify the atmosphere by a notch or two.
A real elusive sleeper with glaring potential for a much-bigger ticket than the perceived value.
Truly fabulous, under-played proper-style Northern Soul in pristine condition.
