That's an odd one because it was a huge record for a short time and then it just vanished - Canada only release I think - I'd have thought £50 would get you one

Unless things have changed I'd have thought anything up to 30-40 quid, though I have seen people ask up to 200 (why?)

Nice tune, but is it only of interest to label collectors? or is somebody playing it, which we all know can lead to a dramatic ( and short-lived) price hike.

If its the RCA label collectors, then without doubt the stock issue will be the more desirable one, probably worth double the demo's. Worth checking out is their "Back Up ( against your persuasion)", which seems to have a decent collectable following with the midtempo & crossover crowds. I presume they're Canadian only release?, or should that be "not on 45 in the US or UK"? ( that "Back Up" 45 seems to sell for more than "Long Time", maybe 75+ ?)

let me tell you it took me over 20 years to find another copy of this great tune, very popular around wales in 78/79 im told, and a mecca tune but I never went to mecca so I don't know. it is a very hard one to find. it is on the 1970`s gold label not the black label. I got it for 3 quid and a celeste hardy for ten quid and vessie simmons for 3 quid back in 78. I then took this and others to a stoke soulnight and a record dealer gave me ten quid in 1995 and proceeded immediately to stick it up for sale at 70 quid and sold it (why you should only deal with many) it then sold for 300 quid on johns auction about 2 years ago. but karma.............. picked one up off ebay for 24.99 dollars. im a happy bunny. if its mint try johns auction. great tune btw.

For a short time in Wigan Casino this was a monster tune, sometime around 1976.

That seems to be it's day in the sun!

Nice record and quite rare.
