45cellar Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 I have recently bought these two Styrene press Label Variations for The "In" Crowd. They appear to be Columbia press in style though don't have ZTSC, ZTSB or ZTSP Stamp The strange thing is that they all look the same at a glance until you study them. When I first started collecting I bought the DEMO and the Stock Copy thinking that was it. How wrong I was. There's at least 5 different Stock Copies on Charger It's one of the first records I bought in 1969 yet here in 2013 I discover that there's potentially more to learn about this release. The Monarch and Hollywood Press has the CR-1012 Matrix for THE "IN" CROWD and CR-1012 45x132 for BE A MAN Whereas these have CR-1011 Matrix for THE "IN" CROWD and CR-1012 for BE A MAN Does anyone know why there is a difference with the Matrix. STYRENE PRESS : CR 1011 Matrix CRG - 105 at bottom of Label CR-1011 (1B)--------------------------------CR-1012 (1C) STYRENE PRESS : CR 1011 Matrix CRG - 105 at side of Label CR-1011 (1A)--------------------------------CR 1012 -1E 1

Gene-r Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 Being Charger's best-seller, it was probably outsourced to various pressing plants to cope with the demand. The yellow Charger label looks good!

The yellow Charger label looks good! I first saw a Scan of the Yellow Copy on the >>> <<< thread from 2007 Took quite a while to find a copy. Not sure If the Yellow was Intended or a Mistake at the printers using the same colour paper as the parent Crusader Label. 2
