Irish Greg put me onto it a few years ago. Tim Brown compiled it on a Goldmine CD recently I think.

Dave Moore Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 Clarence Reid - Im your yes man Hadnt heard it before but what a tune! really rare too at £3/400 + in the books anyone else like it?? regards mark Great record. Been around for years, but for some reason never really had it's five minutes of fame with the dancers. Clarence is a native Floridian and is still on the circuit as his rather risque alter ego - BLOWFLY. Regards, Dave www.hitsvillesoulclub.com

Guest Stuart T Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 First heard this on the Dancing til Dawn LP from Kent. Was it really? LOL thought I'd heard it before, just figured I'd heard it out somewhere. Surprised it was played at Wigan (don't know why though), I can now move it from my lesser known set (as nobody seemed to know it) into the oldies and well known records set and tell anyone who moans that its an obvious Wigan oldie to shake their Spencers to.

Guest Stuart T Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 (edited) ===== stuart it was late wigan 81.... but may have been played earlier like proffesionals a monster in the last couple of years but played in the early days too but didnt catch on... Funny how a tune like that seems to have passed so many people by. Mentioned it to quite a few people past few years and nobody seemed to remember it, hence being under the illusion that it was very much a lesser known sound. I was joking about the obvious Wigan oldie bit of course. Edited June 8, 2006 by Stuart T
