Just trying to find out if Jeff Perry of Love Don't Come No Stronger, Call On Me etc fame and his brother Greg Perry of Invictus and Casablanca etc are both still in the land of the living and , if so,  are they still making music and performing ?

Thanks

These two have some other brothers, all now around 65 to 75 years old I believe.

Their uncle was Robert Bateman (of early Motown fame).

I think Greg is older than Jeff & he (Greg) started recording as a solo act in 1967.

As far as I know, Jeff & Greg are still around.

Last time I spoke to Robert Bateman, both Greg and Jeff were well.

Robert showed me a lovely Arista publicity photo of Jeff Perry dedicated to "My Uncle Robert"..how about that for Soul spanning the generations?

And it was Robert who produced the demo with vocals by Jeff on his composition "Because Of You" which Robert then shopped to Brunswick for Jackie Wilson to record.

Alas, the demo does not seem to exist anymore.

Yes, they are both still about, though not sure of performing. I've met them both separately ,Jeff about ten years back( maybe more) and Greg about two years back. They were both due to perform at the O2 in London on a Rare Groove package show but only Greg came over( Jeffs son stood in for him, he was also very good!).... Didn't really get to the bottom of why this happened though.... Just started to have a really good chat with Greg but ran out of time. Great blokes, both of them.
