Rick Smith Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 The Spencer Wiggins version is a great track but I've heard the same title track with a female vocalist which is in my opinion better. Same title, different song. Only problem is I don't know the name of the artist. Can anyone help me out?
purist Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Dont know Spencers tune, but could it be "The Breaking Point " by Deena Johnson on Wild Deuce 1004 ? also a version by Brad Lundy I think?
Davenpete Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 More versions of this than you can shake a stick at. Dx
Pete S Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 More versions of this than you can shake a stick at. Dx Have any others got the same backing track as each other apart from Brad Lundy and Deena Johnson? It's a fantastic backing track.
Pete S Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Brad Lundy did it twice. Same recording though isn't it, two different labels? Both very poor sound quality.
Chalky Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 (edited) One 60's one 70's if memory serves me correctly. Same recording though although they are different. Edited August 1, 2013 by chalky
Garethx Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 I might be missing something fairly obvious here but the only thing the Spencer Wiggins shares is the title. It's a completely different song to the Deena Johnson, Brad Lundy one. 1

Strangely Rick confirmed Deena was the track he was after on the 'Other' thread, so there you go... not the same but, but are the same... Brad Lundy is still inferior though..
Guest Byrney Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 There's another male version that's significantly different to Deena Johnson, smoother, almost jazzy feel, think Keb used to play it. Anyone know what it is- possibly the 70s Brad Lundy version?
Ian Williams Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 Anyone got a copy for sale please? Thanks, Ian
TOAD Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 I think brad is Jamaican as i have a track by him on a reggae compilation
