Trey J’s - I found it all in you / We got a thing (Going on) - Tee Gem / EX / £400 (Very rare and popular crossover soul dancer backed with an excellent group soul harmony slowie.)

 

Sex — It’s you (Baby it’s you) — Super City / VG+ / £400 (Lovely midtempo modern dancer on a hopelessly obscure release. Flip holds a great ballad. Vinyl has some light scattered marks, “It’s you”-side plays well but the ballad flipside plays with some light background noise in the first part of the song before clearing up.)

 

*HOLD* Ike Strong — Your love keeps me dancing — Mable / EX / £300 (Killer modern soul! And such a rare one to find, the perfect soulful dance floor material. Immaculate copy.)

 

Sherrell Bros - The price - Currison / EX / £275 (Indemand crossover soul dancer.)

Chuck Strong — You beat me at my game — Music Mountain / VG / £150 (Great modern soul dancer! Very rare first label and with a slightly different version with added girl chorus to the later Venture release. VG with some light background noise only, fine for DJing. Second copy I’ve ever seen, other one is my collection copy.)

 

*HOLD* Specials - Baby, you need me / Fool for your love - Satch / EX / £150 (Their rarest, group ballad backed with uptempo. All of their releases are very hard to find in excellent condition.)

 

Specials - You stood me up / Everybody say yea - Satch / EX / £45 (Killer group soul harmony backed with northern soul dancer. Small label tear around the upper edge of the YSMU-side.)

Sheryl Swope - One moment - Duo / VG / £25 (Superb crossover dancer. Record has lots of marks but plays ok.)

Sho-Nuff - Hold on for love - Jamila / EX / £75 (As new copy of this indemand modern soul dancer. Clean labels too unlike many copies which received the John Anderson/Soul Bowl scratch out treatment.)

Pulse - Baby I miss you - Olde World / EX / £45 (Absolutely beautiful mellow groove soul pearl here. Flipside has small tear and smudge from removed sticker.)

 

Pyramid Plus - Comin’ at ya - Lifeworld / EX/VG- / £45 (Definite original of this piece of popular electro soul. Vocal side plays well but instrumental has some pressing marks and plays with pops.)

Willie & the Mighty Magnificents — Very soulful — All Platinum / EX/VG+ / £300 (Super rare follow up to their On Scene ’70 album. Somewhat of a ghost record, can’t even find a trace of a copy being sold online, and hardly a mention of an original copy. With “Get away from me girl” alternative version to the Willie & West one, “Sunday” etc. Cover has light ring wear.)

 

*HOLD* Paradise - Sizzlin hot - Copeland / EX/EX / £250 (So very rare modern soul album out of the Bermudas. Cover is signed by the group members.)

 

Tony Aiken and Future 2000 — Unity — Kimsha / EX/EX / £200 (Superb copy of this very rare album. Original complete with the silk screen printed cover. “She loves me”, “Good things”, “Sing it shout it” etc.)

 

Formula 1 — Hold on — Guiness / EX/EX / £200 (Very rare Guinness release with the funky disco dancer “Fine lady” and the midtempo “Love, love, love”. Singer is from the Mighty Ryeders. As new copy except cut out corner.)

 

Ray Alexander Technique - Let’s talk - Harlem Sound / EX/EX / £175 (Incl the superb crossover dancers “Save me” and “My special one”. The track “Taking the long way home” has a pressing fault causing a few clicks in the outro. Name written on back cover.)

 

*HOLD* Bobby Jones - Talkin’ bout Jones - Toya / EX/EX / £70 (Rare album with the fantastic title track + midtempo dancer “Welcome back a foolish man”. The track “One bird” has a cosmetic scratch not affecting play.)

 

Brothers Unlimited - Who’s the young - Capitol / EX/EX / £60 (Rare early 1970’s major label release with two album only dance cuts - “Take me back” and “Got to get over”. Cut out hole. Neat writing with ballpoint pen on front cover.)

 

Ascots - Color me soul - Crazy Cajun / EX/EX / £60 (As new copy except a name written on both sides of the label and a tiny tear on back. Still in shrink.)

 

*HOLD* Sho-Nuff - Stand up for love - Malaco / EX/VG / £25 (Incl the amazing two stepper “Just to love someone like you”. Cover has general wear, a partly removed sticker and a 5cm line written with filt pen. Seams are intact.)

 

*HOLD* Sho-Nuff - Tonite - Malaco / EX/EX / £15 (Including the killer two stepper/mellow groover "What am I gonna do". Highly recommended!! As new copy still in shrink)

 

Soul Patrol - I’m a witness - Golden Hedge / EX/EX / £25 (As new copy of this rare gospel soul album. With a nice cover of “People get ready”.)
