Dave Thorley Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 So whats the story on this 45, found one 2day in an old box, can't remember where it got it from or how much I paid for it. Can't find out much on the web about it, apart from some Dutch site which says it's worth 15euros and a playlist for Arthur Fenn where he played it at Boomerang ????? Jimmie Raye - That'll get it/It's written all over your face - Injection TAR 61020 TGI, is a nice slightly funk crossover side, IWAOYF very nice 60's beat ballad.

Steve G Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 I always had it down as a cheapie. he did it off of the back of a major 45 city tour and on the US release it credits him as 'Mr Soul' or something similar(memory I haven't dug my copy out!)

That would make sense Steve if it's just a re-issue of a U.S. release, is the Dutch 45 a 70's release or 60's
Steve G Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 I think 68 Dave. That's when Jimmy did his 45 city tour and was known as Mr Soul Spectacular. It says on the Moonshot record. We often forget that the Dutch had an asian community from the old Dutch east Indies who loved soul music. A lot of imports went there.
