boba Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 US first class package international service (the thing that generally costs $12 for a 45) now includes tracking to the following countries. Just FYI. Canada Australia Belgium Brazil Croatia Denmark France Germany Great Britain and Northern Ireland Israel Netherlands New Zealand Spain Switzerland 1
Premium Stuff Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 (edited) Thanks Bob Does that mean we now get more for our money - i.e. tracking is now included - or that there is also now a cheaper tracking option so that eBay sellers will be able to significantly reduce their shipping charges because the only 'tracking' options they currently have are much more expensive than this option? Cheers Richard Edited July 29, 2013 by Premium Stuff
boba Posted July 30, 2013 Author Posted July 30, 2013 no shipping rates have been decreased. but if paypal starts to accept first class international tracking numbers as evidence then fewer sellers will insist on more expensive options. 1
Paul McKay Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 That's good news. I've had 2 parcels fail to turn up recently which were only tracked to the US border.
Mr Smithy Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 Interesting selection of countries. Most of Europe but I see they're even defeated by that giant black hole, Italy. Brazil in S America? I wouldn't have thought that was possible. Unlikely the rest will follow?
Guest julesp1905 Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Whilst the $12 rate may now include tracking, what is the insurance value? Is it a fully tracked method, or simply scanned at the point of entry and exit, seen nothing this end arriving from the states that requires a signature or scanned delivery confirmation other than the premium services.
