Pete S Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 NEW NORTHERN OLDIES SELECTION I know some of us have heard 'em all before but I like these oldies podcasts to reach the ears of people who are maybe just testing the water as far as Northern Soul goes, there's a lot of stuff out there and I like to think that the Northern selections I do are of a pretty high standard and a good place for people to start. MrsWoodsrules Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 TERRY CALLIER - ORDINARY JOE Pete, grew up with most of those tunes, great stuff. A good friend of mine called Russ from Warrington who passed away a long time ago now, has 'Ordinary Joe' on his gravestone, great man, great record that too. Still pretty rare these days isn't it? Maybe not rare, but not too common?
Back Street Blue Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 Melvin Davis....J D Bryant....will never tire of hearing those.....great stuff again thanks Pete
Guest MrJ Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 Compilations. Just something exciting about them, no matter where I am. Stuff I know, but it just seems to add a new dynamic...
