I just bought lot of records from a bloke and when deciding how much I'd offer him, I checked the list and tried all the usual suspects to get a feel for their values. One was the Whispers - Flying High/The time will come - on Soul Clock. Strangely I see it got issued on a label I've never heard of BLACK-WHALE records, also the flip is Etta James - I'd rather go blind.

Can anyone fill me in on BLACK-WHALE ?

Also tell me value of the Soul Clock issue..........................lol..............................

Many thanks

No idea - it does sound like a late '60s / early '70s reissue, though according to Popsike, one sold for $31 on Ebay last year:

Also found this on 45cat:

I'm guessing it's some sort of re-issue label but the orignal release was about 1969/70 so it probably was later. Any idea what it's worth ? not much I assume.

Wonder why anyone would bootleg it ? Hardly Frank Wilson is it..................

not for the northern soul market, for the LA oldies market

The Astra label from Pittsburgh seemed to operate in the same way during the late 60s / early 70s - a lot of their reissues like "Gotta Give Her Love" by the Volumes were pressed on coloured vinyl.
