Guest luis Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Hi folks, just a reminder. The offers for the Manu Dibango "Hallelouia" 45 end tomorrow at 15:50, italy time zone. You can send a Pm here or write an email to: luis AT soulfultorino DOT it Original post: Secret revealed! - offers for c/up - MANU DIBANGO and son AFRICAN SOUL "Hallelouia" SURBOUMB AFRICAN JAZZ M- Here for sale the cover up tune that has been repressed as The African Souls - Hallelouia on Out There record. One of the first recordings of the legendary Manu Dibango, african r&b at his best. The killer 45 all the big dj's are playing, in the original pressing. A seriously rare record! In many years just two copies have been found, this one and another, labelled as made in Congo, done with the same matrix. I will consider offers for one week, ending next thursday, minimum bid is 900 GBP. I accept paypal gift or bank transfert. I will ship registered in a bullet-proof parcel. Happy bidding, good luck!
Modernsoulsucks Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Benji,His last ad was 27th June.A new thread to update potential buyers is within forum rules. No reposting within 3 days.ROD [Forum Moderator]
Liljimmycrank Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 No need to open two threads. Why not? Dont see this breaking any rules. Last thread was nearly a week ago. No different to seeing same batches of records listed by same sellers day after day, sometimes without any reduction 2
Benji Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Either bump the old thread or start a new one. Not both. I know it's not breaking any rules, but it's annoying.
Pete S Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Either bump the old thread or start a new one. Not both. I know it's not breaking any rules, but it's annoying. I thought it was against the rules two have two threads about the same sale - the idea is to bump the original thread once a day.
Modernsoulsucks Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Yes it was a bit pointless bumping old thread. Didn't notice that. And Pete as long as 3 days elapsed ads can be reposted. In between bumping ads is not allowed. You can edit original ad to add info like price reductions or stating "SOLD" Not comments like "Still here" "Bargain" etc. Otherwise everybody would be bumping ads. Of course "bumping" no longer moves ad up the list in Sales section. This is an auction so reposting is best way to do it so members are aware. ROD
Pete S Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 And Pete as long as 3 days elapsed ads can be reposted. So if I advertise something and it doesn't sell, I can then advertise it, again, exactly the same after 3 days, then if that doesn't sell, I can do a new ad every 3 days until in he end I have 150 ads for the same thing all 3 days apart?
Guest Ivor Jones Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Yes Pete. But, if you ain't sold it after 150 ads then you may have to reduce the prices a little.
Popular Post Pete S Posted July 3, 2013 Popular Post Posted July 3, 2013 Yes Pete. But, if you ain't sold it after 150 ads then you may have to reduce the prices a little. I do a sliding scale every time I re advertise something so the £150 no sale would now be down to £1 4

Yes apart from after reposting you wait 7 days till next time.Have you not read the guidelines ?After 7 days kicks in I hope most members recall old adage of flogging a dead horse.ROD 1
davidwapples Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 I do a sliding scale every time I re advertise something so the £150 no sale would now be down to £1 but i bet some people would still offer 50p lol
Pete S Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 but i bet some people would still offer 50p lol and want free postage!
Guest luis Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 There are offers. I won't tell who's highest and for how much. I'll simply sell it to the highest offer. Thank you, good luck!
Pete S Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 (edited) There are offers. I won't tell who's highest and for how much. I'll simply sell it to the highest offer. Thank you, good luck! The problem with that Luis is that if there's no disclosure then you could just pluck a price out of the air - I'm not saying you would - but people have to know what they are bidding against, surely, otherwise how can they know if they are top bidder? Edited July 4, 2013 by Pete S
sir cumference Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 He says minimum bid £900.00! He says he has offers-but he isn`t saying if they are above the minimum required bid amount. I just don`t see it. Be honest it hasn`t got the sprinkling of glitter that only JM provides in his comments.
Guest luis Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Offers are above the minimum, if not I wouldn't consider that. You send your offer, if is the highest that wins. That's it. Isn't this honest? I believe even better for the buyer, the price is not push by call back messages.
Guest luis Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Ok, auction ended. The winning bid was 1250gbp. Thanks everybody!
