Pete S Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 A proper answer that Pete! It's nearly always one part of a record, maybe a couple of lyrics or a riff, then you have to try and think what it is and where it comes from, sometimes it can take hours, days even. 1
Back Street Blue Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 I'm finding it hard to believe that I'm the only one who hasn't had a soul record pop into their head, or are you all to embarrased to say you found yourself suddenly singing a One Direction (or 1D for those of you 'down with the kids') song! Its the last tune I hear before I start work that I can't get out of my head, rather than tunes randomly popping into my head, so depends if I've got a CD or the radio on when I'm driving there, whether its soul or not. The current pop song that I will admit to singing along to in the car at the minute though is this... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5EofwRzit0 ......but I'm not telling you what it is .......and you can't see it at work 1

nickp Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 its Jimmy Love, two sides to every story on josie,..it constantly pops into my head, and i often whistles the tune, and have done for years...it also never gets played out anymore to my knowledge I play it out. 1

A couple of weeks ago, she agreed to go to the pictures with one of the lads from her class but on an "only friends" basis, he sent her "Get Lucky" in a message on the day of the outing and so all her mates have been ribbing her that it was actually a date......think she's enjoying the attention and that the tune now has a meaning for her.
Guest manusf3a Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 (edited) Finally after wanting for SOOOOOOOOOOOO long this little beauty I got one from Mr Snow. This is one of those tunes that makes a crowd smile as they having heard it for such a long time. Personally I cant stop playing it.For me at the moment I keep repeating Spyder Turner " I cant make it" on a cd in me van. KevHell that's ben playing on an off in my head for months now, certainly infectious.spider turner that is,always liked it but somehow it gained prominence after the last Blackhearts all nighter(no plug intended)its one of those tunes that follow you home in the carand stay with you,its by no means my favourite record though I do like it a lot. Guest MissHongkongfuey Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Bo Saris - She's On Fire It's on a loop at work. Love it....can't get it out of my head. Often known to strut around the Wilkinson store I work at, bustin some serious shapes on that shop floor and singing loudly to my customers with a passion, whilst presenting them with hardware! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R-cUVZThQVs

AlanB Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 The great brassy introduction to Gary Carl - Baby Stay And Make Me Happy pops into my head at completely random times. It's imprinted on my brain from having it on a tape for many years. Unfortunately the rest of the record is messy and unmelodic, and definitely doesn't lend itself to humming or singing along. I don't think it's on YouTube. .
Gold Band Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Heres one that still rings in me ears Guy used to spin it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZo38pM8n-w Dan & Clean Cuts - One Love, Not Two (Scepter 1289) Although imo Nella dodds did a better version although unreleased on wax to my knowledge came out on "This Is A Girl's Life Cd" (Kent) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uOK3MH3S60Q 1
