Guest Posted October 17, 2004 Posted October 17, 2004 This is my first post so please excuse any virgin mistakes! This is for all us old 70`s veterans. At St Ives last night ( 100% oldies ) the majority of dancers as usual danced their own version of "northern" regardless of whether the track was a shuffler or stomper. I am as guilty as anyone and it reminded me that when the first shuffle tracks were played could you master the dance? Did you like me try, fail miserably and retreat to the oldies room. Did you practice in your mum`s kitchen when no-one was looking. Did your dancing partner Ann Fettermin forbid you to sit one out so you danced your usual way regardless.

Just seen the news regarding Dave Godin. This post is too flippant at a time like this - sorry.
