Guest Paul Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 OK APART FROM THE OBVIOUS VISUAL DIFFERENCE IST PRESS =2ND PRESS????? IS THERE ANY DIFFERENCE IN DATES/VALUES ETC ETC OF RECORDS PRESSED WITH THE 4 PIN PUSH OUT CENTRE COMPARED THE USUAL SOLID STANDARD UK ONES OR ARE THEY JUST DIFFERENT PRESSING PLANTS? THANX Hello, Contempo was at first distributed by Decca and the push-out centres were typical of most singles pressed at the time at Decca's pressing plant in New Malden, Surrey. Contempo then switched to Pye and eventually to WEA before they folded. Some of the Pye pressings had push-out centres and others didn't. This just depended on which press they used, it doesn't mean they were manufactured at different times. Paul Mooney
