Julianb Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 If you owned both in EX condition, which would you sell and for what price? TIA Julian
Premium Stuff Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 Ouch! Good question mate To be honest, I have always had the Sassy copy and find it the most aesthetically pleasing copy - albeit cheaper - but it's not a money thing in this case for me Richard
Premium Stuff Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 sell sassy 200 ish Yes, that's the sensible answer
Guest Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 Gamble copys ment to be harder I always thought but prob seen less sassy demos
Rich B Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 When I had that dilemma I kept the Gamble copy based on me growing up wanting one, and expecting that if I was ever lucky enough that is what my copy would look like - and not knowing about the sassy copies until much later. It's a bit subjective though.
Premium Stuff Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 Gamble copys ment to be harder I always thought but prob seen less sassy demos Yes, that's it! - sell both and get a Sassy demo - perfection 1
Guest Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 Yes, that's it! - sell both and get a Sassy demo - perfection Sorry just stating if it was a demo next time don't bother with your remarks that why people don't bother to reply to things
boba Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 i'm interested in buying the sassy if it is the one without "this is just a b-side"
Dave Pinch Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 i'm interested in buying the sassy if it is the one without "this is just a b-side" most copies have love your pain..on the flip imo
boba Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 most copies have love your pain..on the flip imo someone hit me up then. ideally for an affordable price for a clean copy...
Mick Holdsworth Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 someone hit me up then. ideally for an affordable price for a clean copy... Well there is a copy here ... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/370833653669 Seems very expensive, although it has "Make offer" and also has the B side you want, which, at £350 may be the only things in it's favour Mick
boba Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 thanks for the link. i have too many wants to pay over the top for any one record, unless it is a top want. plus i'm still psyched about recently getting my top want (the softiques on sheldon...) thanks again. 1
Guest Johnny Mack Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 If you owned both in EX condition, which would you sell and for what price? TIA Julian Slightly off topic, but there is no Demo of "If that what you wanted" on US Gamble - is that correct ? Looking at Popsike they are all Issue copies except for a white label Italian Gamble copy of Love (your pain goes deep) with a Bobby Marchan flip. Anyone................ John

John I thought there was, albeit normal black label with Promo etc in text, but maybe I'm thinking of "She's Gone" ?
Modernsoulsucks Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 I've got an issue that is stamped DJ copy on "...wanted" side and a "Chips" sticker on the other. ROD
Phild Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 I bought a copy on here a few months back because I remembered I'd sold it a while back. However, I'd actually sold my spare and so went and unwittingly bought another spare. I sold it (the spare) on here yesterday for under £200. A few years ago I had a white Sassy demo that I got off Andy Simpson. That WAS nice.
Guest Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 I would keep both. The Sassy copy looks good is the first issue, so would need to keep that. The Gamble is rarer and looks good so would need to keep that as well. I know if I parted with either, I would always regret it!
Lionelonthevinyl Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Ive got a sassy demo m- but prob near m (and I don't grade my records over the top, I've got some scrote kissers!!) it was bought off Neil rushdens mate graham I think? I believe mr rushden bought most over? Could well be wrong it was years ago, but would be interested who got them over here?........Rob

Cover-up Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 The great flipside "Love Your Pain Goes Deep" is slightly different on both copies. The Gamble one has added strings, the Sassy one doesn't. I prefer it with strings, others prefer it without...
