Simon T Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 Was Soul Train ever on TV in the UK? I am convinced it used to be on at tea-time in the early 70's Did any DVD box set type stuff ever get issued? Link to episode guide https://epguides.com/SoulTrain/
Steve G Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 No we had our own version in the early 80s' pretty lame and not the same show as Don Cornelius's one, and yes Box set was issued, but it misses some of the best acts and concerntrates on major names. Should be easy to find though......Steve
Pete S Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 The proper Soul Train was definitely shown over here in the early days of Channel 4, I probably haven't got them now but I used to have a few shows taped which someone swapped me, they weren't current shows though, they were 70's ones, I distinctly remember Little Anthony and Sly Stone being on there.
Rupert Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 The box set is ok if you like adverts for hair products every 5 minutes.
