MrsWoodsrules
Great record this, just been discussing it with my brother. We know it was a Dickie Searling spin, very late Casino, I know he sold his copy for £50 back then. Just been giving it a listen, what a great great soul record, it's screams of soul quality IMO. Was this revived post Wigan? If so when and where? What would that £50 return these days? 1 Link to comment Social source share
Lenny Harkins
3 big ones I would imaging, Butch played it for while , mid to late 8ts as Dee Dee Gartrell... If my memory serves me right.... Great Tune. Link to comment Social source share

Steve G
So after Richard got it from John Anderson originally, I am pretty certain his copy ended up with Butch who played it for quite a while still covered up, certainly into the 90s. There are a number of copies around. Can't remember for sure now but I think mine came from one of them Burnley guys. Steve G
It was a Wigan spin for Richard - 33 years ago.... BTW where has the Stanley Evans Phil La acetate gone? I had my eye on it when Martin got it back a few years ago (he had it in the 70's), but he sold it on before I could spurt out the words "When you come to sell it...." Md Records
I used to mispronounce this label for Years, until put right by an American friend. Apparently it's pronounced "Phil Lay" hence the fish, or was I the only one saying it "wrong" Des 1 Link to comment Social source share
