Dayo
While clearing out the loft last week, I came across a big box of Blues and Soul mags from 1970 to about 1975. I think they start about issue 46. I'd guess about 120 copies. Theres also a bundle of Black Music mags from 73/74 and a handful of Hot Buttered Soul fanzines from the same period. Can't say I want them anymore but I was wondering if they had any value these days? What would be the best way to move them on? I couldn't find time to list them individually on ebay. Is there any market for these? Link to comment Social source share
Ik001
Hi there, I'm in the process of selling a similar number and similar issue numbers (spooky)?? Any way there is a member on here I think called wiggyflat who is after issues of these mags for vinyl exchange. Try him. Best, Ian Link to comment Social source share
paultp
I bought a stack of B&S off someone in 99/2k or thereabouts, they had listed them on eBay but they hadn't sold. After being nagged about them taking up space I sold them on for £300 (there must have been about 300). I would reckon that Soul mags from that era must be worth at least £3 to £5 each, with the ones that have NS related content worth a bit more. You just need the time and patience to sell them. dthedrug
HI ALL I wonder how many copies of BLUES & SOUL are in the lofts of 7t's SOULSTERS, over the past 18 months I have seen dozens of B&S for sale on eBay, most are priced as individual items? I have all the B&S numbers through the 1970s and can honestly say, as much as I enjoyed reading them (still do) at the price wanted for each copy, would not be worth it if I wanted to replace all my copies, However the most collectable copies are #1 to #23 #24 to #35, & #50 being the best copy (in my opinion) Earl Van Dyke Cover, but it's the first series #1 - #23 that fetch the most, and each year that goes by they will cost more, later copies of B&S are not worth more than 25p a copy DAVE K Link to comment Social source share
