Macon, Ga & Muscle Shoals - Worth A Stop On A Trip?

Hi Everyone,

 

I'll be coming through the SE part of the States this week and am going to be very close to Macon and Muscle Shoals (within 40 miles of Muscle Shoals and 50-60 miles of Macon).

 

From a soul standpoint, I suspect these are worth a stop!

 

For Macon so far:

-Otis Redding statue

-Otis Redding bridge

-Drive by theater where Otis Redding discovered

Anything else?

 

For Muscle Shoals:

-Other than driving by FAME and any other studios, anything else a good stop?

Any good record stores in either town for 45s?

Great shout Dave, although you can't just turn up at either of these places i don't think. You should try and contact them in advance. As you know i went with Tats and a few friends and it was fantastic!
