Simon T Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 who owned this in the 70s 12___Silvetti___Spring_Rain.mp3 I've still got a Salsoul 7" demo and a Ramshorn twelver!
Boogaloo Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 Sorry, but I have to come to the defence of this. A blistering soul tune it may not be but as a classic 70s shuffler it is fantastic. Used to be a Yate standard and I'd still jump on the dancefloor today if it was played. Warren Boogaloo

Warren Boogaloo With you on those sentiments .I always associate it with Center City-Fat Larrys Band as they always seemed to go together at St Ives
Guest Neil-ok Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 no need to defend it warren!! it was a classic piece of youth club soul/disco of its day....i was laughing because i hadnt heard it in years.

Dave Moore Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 I must be deaf then, cos it was records like this that stopped me going to a number of Venues back in the day. It was and always will be, to my ears at least, complete and utter shite! Only played I believe because it was cheap and available so anyone could get one. Sorry to be so forward, but I wouldn't be happy with someone walking down my street with this crap, never mind bringing it in mi house! ...... Rant over!... Regards, Dave www.hitsvillesoulclub.com PS. Bet Pete S likes it too!

And yes i had forgotton about until NOW Got a nice 7" demo of CC on wmot. And an even nicer 12" copy of 'Act Like You Know' which is far better than CC. Sure I've even got a copy of 'Zoom'. So what the problem? Not like it's kiddie porn is it?
grant Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 Yip still got mine - played it out a few times last year to a packed dancefloor too. Memories of the Manchester Ritz (when it was a good venue) Sunday All Dayers
