what tune was the one that used to drag you to the floor or even keep you on the floor when you might of been busting for a piddle or gagging for a refreshment etc, i tell you what you can put as many as five in a list for this post if you like !!!!!

mine would probably be,

ruby andrews - just loving you

the originals - suspicion

tony galla - in love

the cautions - no other way

brice coefield - aint that right

as doug banks would sing, i just kept on dancing, when these tunes were played.

i hope this gets the old memory going and puts a smile on your face, im just going to listen to these now so have fun and enjoy. blush.gif:thumbsup:

Johnny wyatt - This Thing Called love - Bronco......does it everytime without fail, 100% guaranteed! Played this when it was a cheapie at Ely, packed the floor out and then went on to become THE track to have shortly after!

Suppose fever for it has died down since, but it's still the one I pull out of my magic hat when things are going arse over tit.

Yours is possibly the best avatar ever to grace the pages of SS, slider, I salute you

Back on topic, 'crying over you' has always done it for me, 'who are you trying to fool' is another, 'I'll never stop loving you' a third. List is pretty endless really.

Suppose a floor filler depends on region, venue, crowd etc - could imagine one or two tracks mentioned in previous posts on this thread (and faves of mine) emptying dancefloors at some soul nites I've dj-d at e.g. The Cautions, Vondells, to name but a few - remember clearing the floor with The Deadbeats & Drake & the Ensolids! Had to quickly recover with something like Peggy March whistling.gif

Always seem to have been into tunes that emptied dnacfloors - gave me room to spin, splits etc

for me it would be:

john gary williams - the whole damn world is going crazy

mel britt - she'll come running back

eula cooper - let our love grow higher

moses smith - girl across the street

daybreak - i need love

soul brother six - i'll be lovin' you

tempos - i'll never forget

seven souls - i still love you

charles mann - it's all over

bobby hutton - lend a hand.

God forbid if some smart bugger plays them one after eachother, i'd be f**ked!!!!!!!

i'm sorry i thought you meant our own personal floor fillers!!!!

as for floor fillers in general you'd have to state era!

flasher and life is a song worth singing used to fill a floor in their days as quickly as night owl and the sherrys did in their days.

oh, and just play one fast track and i'm f**ked these days ;-)

A few that have me knocking people over to get to the floor.

In no particular order and a few of many;

Make Me Yours Bettye Swann

Love Runs Out Willie Hutch

I love her so much..... The Majestics

Getting Mighty Crowded Betty Everette (thinking of going to the Wheel tonight so should hear this old fav).

Unsatisfied Lou Johnson

I'll be loving you Soul Brothers Six

I can't take it anymore Spyder Turner

Crackin' up over you Roy Hamilton.

Nothing out of the ordinary there (or controversial laugh.gif ) but some great floor fillers.

Love that feeling when you hear the intro to records like these and something just takes over..........."mind ya backs, mad man comin' through"! :shades:

Tony Galla - In love

Bluejays - Point of view
