Chris L Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 (edited) Was this album released on both demo & issue? I've had a couple but to be honest I can't remember I certainly haven't seen one that I can think of. BTW it actually came out on 8 Track !! Wonder if it go onto a cassette ? 8 track anyone, Dave Greety ? Edited May 13, 2013 by Chris L
Pete S Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 Would have thought it's on both demo and issue. Reminds me, I have one to sell for someone, damaged sleeve but nice vinyl. 1
Steve Foran Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 Yes released on both. Had issue upgraded to a demo. BUT an 8 track wow!

Steve Foran Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 Steve, issue ten times rare than demo surely? I think the demo is rarer. Seem loads of issues but only my demo and Hammies back in the 70,s. Just my view. Comparable costings as far as I recall.

Unusual that then, they usually make stacks of demos and nobody buys the issues. The one I've got is an issue.

Steve Foran Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 Just had a look at popsike as well. Bloody WDJ like london cabs! Oh well. Still think I have seen far more issues over time. Up till today that is!! Lol!
Soulman Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 ..... and a big thank you to Rick Todd for bringing this album to the attention of the masses at Cleethorpes. Fantastic LP throughout 1
Chris L Posted May 13, 2013 Author Posted May 13, 2013 Thanks for info. Great these threads on SS - wonder if anyone will find on a cassette ?
Benji Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 Having said that - practically all copies I"ve seen have been black labels you're sure they're not brown? I somehow had the picture of a light brown abc label in my mind when i thought about my copy. Just checked, it's a demo

Wrongcrowd Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 I've always considered the issue to be rarer, mainly because everyone I know that has a copy has the promo.... seems like Collectorsfrenzy bears this out now. 1
Benji Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 No, definitely black, with a 'penant' type logo with childrens building bricks inside Westcoast logo variety isn't it? BTW, I mixed it up with Nolan Porter's "Nolan" LP on ABC/Dunhill. That's the one with the light brown label I was thinking of.
Rich B Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 Mines a demo - got it for a half bottle of Bells whisky in the 80's - possibly the most unusual deal I can recall doing!
Ian Dewhirst Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 Well I always had a white promo of this but it's somehow it seems to have been replaced with an issue. Weird! Ian D
