Sunnysoul Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 Always thought Otis Redding's "Demonstration" was his best Northern dancer by a country mile, better even than "Loving By The Pound."
Guest Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 Always thought Otis Redding's "Demonstration" was his best Northern dancer by a country mile, better even than "Loving By The Pound." Funny enough I was also going to comment on how good this track is! Did it gets spins back in the early days?
Sunnysoul Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 It was released in the '68/9 period after Otis died, and, as the Northern Soul history books show, the Mirwood, Okeh, Ric Tic monsters were pouring on to the scene by then, so an easily available record like "Demonstration" probably was simply overlooked in the stampede.
