Boogaloo Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Got a VG+ Gold Token with Deceived on the b side for £500 if anyone's interested.
Soulfulshoes Posted May 11, 2013 Author Posted May 11, 2013 To be honest i think the gold token is outside my price range, in any condition, so looking at Take6, demo or issue as im only after this track. Cheers. Baz.
Dejazzy1 Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Hi I have a mint copy played once I do not like the record, but you need to make an offer sorry. I paid a good price for it. regards dejazzy1

Baz. Hi Baz, IMHO If you listen to them both, they are slightly different takes so ensure you get the version you want. 1
jimmy clitheroe Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 The Take 6 version is a bad recording, sounds very "Tinny" imho ...Paul
Dave Harrison Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 The Take 6 version is a bad recording, sounds very "Tinny" imho ...Paul Never had any complaints about mine! 1
Pete S Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 Never had any complaints about mine! It is a poor recording though compared to the Gold Token one, but it also has a brilliant B side (think it's called Please Don't Go?) A lot of people don't realise there are two cuts of Deceived as well.

A lot of people don't realise there are two cuts of Deceived as well. Never had the luxury of being able to play them side-by-side, and accept that the GT might be a better cut. I have no issue with mine though! "Please don't go" is a nice little number too ! Doub't I'll ever be able to affors the GT version though!
Soulfulshoes Posted May 13, 2013 Author Posted May 13, 2013 Yes im aware there is a slight difference in the two recordings, but listening to them back to back, on you tube, i cant say i have no real preference. I would say it would depend on which version i had heard first. Anyway GT is way out of my price range at the moment, so no real option and happy to go with the take6 version. 1
Prophonics 2029 Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 So is the Take 6 version the same as one of the Gold Token mixes?
Soulfulshoes Posted May 13, 2013 Author Posted May 13, 2013 (edited) Didnt realise there was more than 1 Gold Token mix....... These are the only 2 i know. Gold Token Take 6 Edited May 13, 2013 by Soulfulshoes
