Fair do's Mike but I must add that the 'in your face flyers' come out that way when I post 'em - I did not make them particularly large as to make them 'in your face'.

No need for a reply - wrists slapped.

Hi Barry

Such a refreshing playlist...none of this super rare nonsense just top quality black music from the eras you denoted..

I tried pretentious once but it just wasn't moi.

BRILLIANT stuff Barry....all round gear.....and I would have loved any of your nights mate!x

Brainstorm — Wake Up And Be Somebody — Tabu

I ritually played Loving is really my game @Blackburn A/N towards the end of the night through sheer demand! It became a kind of anthem for a while and I was expected to play it! I did have the Wake Up  tune in my box too...but never ever spun it anywhere!!!....respect...X

Paul Peek-The Shadow Knows-Columbia

Only ever heard it played once in 7 years out there each week-end.....played by me!! Our first Maltings A/N in Ely where Shifty had his 'christening'! I finished the night and played it as the lights came on........and folk jigged outta the hall to it!!!x Again...respect mate...X

Hector Rivera-Do It to Me — Barry

Played it at 100club to much acclaim circa 1995! !x It gave me the confidence to play it Nationwide and at many party's wherever and still do to this day!x RESPECTS!!x

As i'm at Knottingley on the 6th and we wos gonna make a week-end of it...then there is a chance I may bring Abs my partner to your night as a good introduction to what we are all about in general!!!x She may get that induction tonight if the 100club ain't sold out as I have to be in London this evening....but at present...your week-end seems it!x I hope so...and would enjoy sharing the decks wiv u anytime mate.....'quality' stuff across genres and memories galore......what more can a Soulie want.....?!x

Thanks for the nod Sooty and you'd be welcome anytime.

I must say though that it's just a small bar I do - a very nice small bar like - but don't expect a full dancefloor or owt like that  - it serves great beers and does what it does really well but it's not a Soulies Paradise, just an older crowd who like great music.

Dear Mr May,

Please continue with the f**ckin' blinding cross section of quality tunes you're promoting at your intimate venue.

Just picked up on this thread and it's like you've nicked my record box but added some much needed funk..

I hope to get across soon.

Missing the madness..and especially Spaceark.

Cheers bud

it's quite easy, you play a record, stick it to the back of your box and the next time you visit said box, your whole playlist is there in order
