Chris L Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 Not as far as I know, I've never seen one. Was "re-issued" looks like this : Pukka demos white.

Popular Post John Reed Posted April 30, 2013 Popular Post Posted April 30, 2013 I've never considered it a rare record, issue or w/d, I just thought that dealers had it over-priced. 4

Chris L Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 (edited) I've never considered it a rare record, issue or w/d, I just thought that dealers had it over-priced. In the "crazy days" it did sell for £60 - 80 now you can pick up a decent for for less than 30. Edited April 30, 2013 by Chris L 1

And as far as I know not been booted.
Sunnysoul Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Nicest way to own this is the Australian demo: https://www.popsike.com/Brown-SugarGame-is-Over-OZ-Modern-Soul-45-NM-Promo/220561910823.html 1
Dave Pinch Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Just a common chart record at the end of the day............ But a bloody good one;)
Roburt Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Just a common chart record at the end of the day............ Kegsy's well common himself, so the record will be really at home with him then. BTW, Kegsy, still trying to ascertain from Charlie if I'll be sleeping with you at Cleggy !!!
Chalky Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 In the "crazy days" it did sell for £60 - 80 now you can pick up a decent for for less than 30. It shouldn't cost any more than five or ten quid, that's what it initially cost and no reason why it should cost anymore now.
Jim Ohara Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 It shouldn't cost any more than five or ten quid, that's what it initially cost and no reason why it should cost anymore now. Must agree with you Chalky, its a common record Another one that always amazes me is Willie Hightower - Because i love you seems to be for sale constantly on SS at £50 to £60 if its that common why not £5 to £10
Kev John Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 (edited) I bet ya it'll get BOOTED now ya talkin about it WALLS have ears you know Kev Edited May 1, 2013 by Kev John
Chris Anderton Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 I rarely find this record in the US these days. Lots of copies here though. I did find 13 in one shop back in 2003 when it was one of the hottest things around...had a steak dinner that night!! Chris 1

Saying that I've seen it sell for that.
Stubbsy Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Anyone who hasn't done, flip it and play the B side "I'm Going Through Changes Now" - ace tune 1

John Reed Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Hi Chris, Wasn't this a Shifty "discovery", or did he just out it? How can this be a "discovery" it was in the Billboard Disco chart as a new release? 1
Chris Anderton Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Shifty certainly played it in the early 2000`s and was at least partly responsible for its reactivation at that time. I believe it was played as a new release, maybe at the Mecca or had the Mecca closed by then? We had Ronnie Walker on at our "Dab of Soul" event a couple of months ago and he did a fantastic live version of both sides. Chris
Stubbsy Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 How can this be a "discovery" it was in the Billboard Disco chart as a new release? John - that's why I put "discovery" as opposed to discovery! Perhaps I should have said reactivation
Garswood Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Anyone who hasn't done, flip it and play the B side "I'm Going Through Changes Now" - ace tune That's the side to play, fab tunage
Guest Gogs Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 That's the side to play, fab tunage Have to agree, i've played both sides out, great double sider.
Sunnysoul Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 How can this be a "discovery" it was in the Billboard Disco chart as a new release? It even made the lower reaches of the Billboard POP charts in 1976. 1

Steveh73 Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 I paid £2.50 for my copy and remember it being played at an alldayer in St. Albans in 1992 (to a decent dancefloor reaction as well!!).
