I posted in another thread about how back in the day most people used to have there own hand built Wooded Record boxes before the advent of the regulation Flight Case.Over the years i've seen some real beauty's.So lets see any photos of your Character filled history dripped Wooden Boxes.Start off with mine which i built back in 1988.Its had 3 lids the latest only this year and several repairs ,and is as heavy as owt but its like an old mate.So Lets see Em.

I would love a wooden box made properly so I might just build myself one this year.

Rob Thomas gave me his old box , which would probably hold 5-600 records . Only problem was couldn't move the fooker and left an everlasting imprint on our old carpet (much to the EX wifes annoyment , bitch ! :wicked: )

 

It was made of about 1" thick wood

i built my self one a couple of yrs ago made a great job of it as well trouble is it never left the shed i couldn't lift it and that was with out the records but i had screwed to the bench lol :(

When my parents ran a pub , i used the wooden Britvic boxes which were just the right size , albeit not for taking anywhere ! :wink:
