Pete S Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 Evening folks. As Wolves are sure to lose tonight, I decided to cheer myself up with a new podcast. I wanted to get away from the usual cycle of Reggae then Northern Soul then more Reggae and so on, in the old days I used to stacks of these "Found In The Basement" type compilations, so here's a new one which I'm quite excited about. We've got some red hot Rockabilly, lots of brilliant Girl Group tracks, some UK psych, a rare unissued Rolling Stones track, some unknown (to me) Popcorn tunes, a bit of Northern, a great cover of a 1967 David Bowie lp track which is well worth hearing, and some classic Rhythm & Blues. Oh and a French version of Don't Pity Me and a Velvet Underground classic to end with. DENNIS HERROLD - MAKE WITH THE LOVIN' GENE NORMAN - SNAGGLE TOOTH ANN MEL McGONNIGLE - RATTLE SHAKIN' MAMA ALMA COGAN - SNAKES AND SNAILS PHIL SPECTOR - DA DOO RON RON INSTRUMENTAL BELLA & ME - WHATEVER HAPPEND TO THE SEVEN DAY WEEK MARGIE & THE FORMATIONS - BETTER GET WHAT GOES FOR YOU SPLANKHOON - SHE'S GOT MEDALS ROBERT PARKER - LET'S GO BABY CAROLYN CRAWFORD - UNTIL YOU CAME ALONG KIKI DEE - MIRACLES MARY SNEED - WHEN I WAS 15 JENNY WREN - CHASING MY DREAM ALL OVER TOWN ROBERT PLANT - I'VE GOT A SECRET ROLLING STONES - PAY YOUR DUES OWEN GRAY - HELP ME BERNADETTE CASTRO - A GIRL IN LOVE FORGIVES ALVIN CASH & THE CRAWLERS - TWINE TIME JANIE GRANT - AND THAT REMINDS ME NICKY JAMES - SO GLAD WE MADE IT YOLANDA LISI - MY HEART BEATS SOFTLY WOODROW ADAMS - SOMETHING ON MY MIND THE DE VONNS - FREDDIE UNKNOWN ARTIST - GIRL IN MY ROOM (?) THE DOORS - LOVE STREET MIKE PROCTOR - MR. COMMUTER SIR MACK RICE - DADDY'S HOME TO STAY UNKNOWN ARTIST - TEARS COME EASY (?) MISS MADELEINE - BEHAVE YOURSELF SAMANTHA JONES - SOMEBODY ELSE'S BABY GALE GARNETT - YOU'VE BEEN TALKING ABOUT ME BABY RODDIE JOY - HE'S SO EASY TO LOVE THE RIGHTEOUS BROTHERS - STAND BY BILLY FURY - I GOT SOMEONE JIM HOLT - THE SLIDE MARC BOLAN - THE THIRD DEGREE OTIS CLAY - A LASTING LOVE THE VELVET UNDERGROUND - JESUS https://www.mixcloud.com/mayfairmenthol/as-yet-untitled/

Pete S Posted April 17, 2013 Author Posted April 17, 2013 You must have been ecstatic by the end of the match then! I was watching Arsenal v Everton so just had the Wolves match on the internet equivalent of Ceefax so I could see the score....ecstatic, no not really, I don't care anymore, not until this management goes, this isn't the club I used to go and watch..
