boba Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 I was listening to this 45 (Pat Powdrill and the powerdrills "Together Forever" on Downey) and I swear there's another version of the song (possibly "Blacker" sounding) but I can't think of it. Anyone have any idea of what I'm thinking of or am I imagining it? Thanks in advance.
boba Posted April 10, 2013 Author Posted April 10, 2013 thanks a lot. that's one more version I didn't realize. But not the one I was thinking of! am I wrong that there's another version?
Robbk Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 Viola Wills' version was the Black stations' hit in L.A. and San Francisco/Oakland. Pat Powdrill's didn't make the radio and didn't sell at all. I don't remember a 3rd version, at all.
Mal C Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 thanks a lot. that's one more version I didn't realize. But not the one I was thinking of! am I wrong that there's another version? Your right, there is another version, and I know it, but I'm sitting here typing as perplexed as you all... Gad Dam....!!! M
boba Posted April 11, 2013 Author Posted April 11, 2013 All I know is that I was playing the Powdrill version the other day and I knew the song (I actually knew the Powdrill version too but forgot it) and was thinking of a much less pop version. I think it might have a different title.
Prophonics 2029 Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 (edited) Funny but dug mine out the other day and played the B-side that I thought was Ok. I know Kent put out another version of Do It so I'm Not sure if TF was the same take on the CD from the single. Is there a male version ?? Edited April 11, 2013 by Prophonics 2029
