Posted my first record in April,today.£2.60 second class.Quite an increase.They seem to be using a new template for sizing the letters/parcels.

 

 

Letter and Small Parcels (used to be small packet) up to 2kg.

 

1st Class and 2nd Class parcel prices

• 1st Class Small Parcels prices start from £3.00
• 2nd Class Small Parcels prices start from £2.60
• 1st Class Medium Parcels prices start from £5.65
• 2nd Class Medium Parcels prices start from £5.20

Royal Mail Signed Forâ„¢ parcel prices

• 1st Class Small Parcels prices start from £4.10
• 2nd Class Small Parcels prices start form £3.70
• 1st Class Medium Parcels prices start from £6.75
• 2nd Class Medium Parcels prices start from £6.30

yes to save postage cost i send records flat packed instead of a box and a lot of my 45s come the same way there in special mailers

Back to sending in sleeve mailers now.Though according to pricing,they're all the same,parcels and letters.

No idea why you got charged so much.  Record, mailer, 3 pieces of card board, £2.30 1st class recorded - and I sent out over 30 packages at that weight this week.

I was a bit shocked myself Pete.They used a new template.Small packet seems to be a thing of the past.Now called Surface Mail, Letters/Small Parcels.I don't send out regularly,so could well have been shafted,but somehow i don't think so.

Normally send out 1st class,but i was that angry at the 100% price hike from normal 1st,i went for 2nd.(sorry to the buyer.)

 45 packets at £2.30 each 1st/recorded plus some 2nd class only which cost £1.10 each

I'm going back to the PO with receipt.May well have been charged for "Outside Europe",even though it was UK bound.

 

But there are new prices from April.

Those are the new prices Kev, it was £2.15 up until tuesday

Looks like i've been mugged by a PO lady.I'll go back and sort it.The 30p WILL be mine i tell ya.!!!  .

 

I'll lock this off now i've made a fool of myself.
