possibly, i said jamaican due to the seller being based in florida, a lot of jamaican / west indian records found there way there

i'm pretty sure it's jamaican, they had a lot of weird stax related presses. i have the temprees 3 on jamaican stax (not we produce).

Having said that, he does have other Jamaican 45s on his auction list.

 

Here's a Jamaican Staple Singers 45 on Stax which is on 45cat - blue label, but not as dark as the Jean Knight.  According to the page of Jamaican Stax 45s, the old label design (and a myriad of colours) was being used there at least until 1973.
