April 5, 201312 yr i'm pretty sure it's jamaican, they had a lot of weird stax related presses. i have the temprees 3 on jamaican stax (not we produce).
April 5, 201312 yr Jamaican seems favourite - particularly since it has a pre Atlantic split design label on a post split tune
April 5, 201312 yr Possibly from another part of the West Indies (eg, Barbados etc). Can't see the typface too well, but it does look like a West Indian press of some sort. Having said that, he does have other Jamaican 45s on his auction list. Here's a Jamaican Staple Singers 45 on Stax which is on 45cat - blue label, but not as dark as the Jean Knight. According to the page of Jamaican Stax 45s, the old label design (and a myriad of colours) was being used there at least until 1973. https://www.45cat.com/record/nc496619jm Edited April 5, 201312 yr by Gene-R
