Rocco151 Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 I have for sale an excellenrt condition Kurtis Scott on Happenin'. A top Modern soul tune that I have had since the early 80s and said to have recently sold for over £1000. Record has very minor paper sleeve marks that are only visible under direct light. The label is clean with a slight print residue on and a minor fold on side 1. The record is supposedly lo-fi but with a little adjustment it sounds perfect. Both sides play really well with little or no audible noise on side 1 and a couple of clicks on the fade on side 2. I am after £600 for this if anyone is interested than please PM. Regards A
Mattbolton Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 This NEVER comes up for sale. Wish I had the funds on this one. Awesome record. This dude is also Kurt Harris. 1

We made contact with Kurt Harris and that eventually led to its recent re-release.
Rocco151 Posted April 6, 2013 Author Posted April 6, 2013 Thanks guys for posting these endorsements...
NEV Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Well if no one wants it at £600 ,the world of rare soul collecting has sadly stopped at the top 500 well known ,big ticket 45's 1
Rocco151 Posted April 7, 2013 Author Posted April 7, 2013 I guess being able to buy a reissue at about £10 has had a big effect. Will happily keep it if there are no offers.
Steve G Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Yep I don't think it's built up enough of a following. Not many had an original copy, and there are hundreds of people that still haven't heard it.
Marc Forrest Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Yep I don't think it's built up enough of a following..."build, build, build" ;)hopefully an originial first issue will always be much more desirable than a sec rel. Dont think anyone serious about collecing would prefer a willie tee "pay your dues", two plus two velgo or kurtis scott for that matter instead of the original ?
