This is why Eddie Willis' speech was so wonderful.  Eddie included everyone who contributed to The Funks' sound.  Eddie mentioned the horns, violins, arrangers and background singers.  Of course, I love me some Mike Terry but The Funks were considered just the rhythm section.

 

I was so happy that the families were there to represent everyone.
