Guest kev such Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Have been reliably informed that this doesn't exist. But as you can see from the scan it does. Wanted to know if anyone knows the origins of this on Scepter. I bought it from a guy in South Africa and presumed it was issued there. I know I've put the scan up before, but that was because someone in Wales wanted to see it. Thanks for looking, and any info would be greatly appreciated. Regards Kev
Cheltsoulnights Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Hi Kev. I have had several usa copies. Are you saying doesn't exist on a Foreign Release?
Guest kev such Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Not sure to be honest. Just was told that Scepter didnt release this, and the track is only available on Wand. Which is confusing as it clearly was issued on Sceptre.

Regards Kev Definitely South African. Have a look at the link below and an advert in the centre of the page for Troubadour records (PTY) Ltd https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=OBgEAAAAMBAJ&pg=PA40&lpg=PA40&dq=troubadour+records+pty+ltd&source=bl&ots=ARGSg_gMiR&sig=ZbwklqPZzqa4LsiZGPqBaM8lllo&hl=en&sa=X&ei=2MhQUcjUGMKLOdSLgLAD&ved=0CFkQ6AEwBw#v=onepage&q=troubadour%20records%20pty%20ltd&f=false

Gene-r Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 (edited) Interesting - a South African issue with a typically Japanese centre. Wonder if that puts a whole new dimension on this? Edited March 26, 2013 by Gene-R

Steve G Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 Ironically Gene Scepters came out in Japan as well as S.Africa (and a host of other countries).....
Guest dundeedavie Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 maybe the info that it didn't exist was wishful thinking?
Guest Garry Huxley Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 Just for info saw a copy on wand last year at raven whitchurch for £200 not in best of condition but well worth it as it's nice & rare.
Guest Garry Huxley Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 Just when I thought I'd sussed it eh? haha. Hey Kev . Up pompei When is next cream cracker. Garry
pikeys dog Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 Just for info saw a copy on wand last year at raven whitchurch for £200 not in best of condition but well worth it as it's nice & rare. Not rare, just indemand a few years ago. Stick a search into Popsike to see exactly how not rare it is: https://www.popsike.com/php/quicksearch.php?searchtext=lou+lawton+wand&thumbs=&currsel=&sortord=&x=6&y=6&incldescr=1 61 entries - and that's only the ones that show up on Popsike via eBay - loads of private sales out there.... 1
