One on Manship's is the 1966 release of "You've Got My Mind Messed Up" backed with  "That's What I Want To Know"

Yours is the 1972 release of "Freedom Train" backed with "That's What I Want To Know"

https://www.45cat.com/artist/james-carr/uk

Both are on Manships, the 1966 at £100 and the 1972 at £15

The Mojo is a re-issue, the Stateside original UK issue will cost you about £50-ish the original US Goldwax you can find for less than £10..00

Good luck...................

ps : Coming back to me baby is pretty good, well worth searching out.

Still Not sure about this..the one on John Manships list ...has larger text on the label than mine...so why is this?...but the one on 45 CAT is the same as mine...can anyone say why this is? :(

I dunno, second print run?  It's not gonna make any difference.

Thanks ...sorry i am a total novice...does that mean they did change the text sometimes when they reprinted record labels ? Because this would save me time in the future ...looking for finer details that i don't need to be looking at.

You just need to get some kind of knowledge as to what's rare/collectable/original.  In the main, UK releases from the 70's aren't worth much money (of course there are some exceptions).  Most records on Mojo can still be found for £5.  I know it's listed at £15 but thats very optimistic.  Sometimes if they keep a record on catalogue for a year maybe, they might just rejig the typeface to fit in with current releases.

If you were to just make a list of everything you've got to sell

artist - title - label

people on here would be able to price 90% of them without even seeing the records, honestly.

But as I say - you don't need to - I'll do it for you - we'll do it for you.

For me it's the most important part of the forum - sharing knowledge.

The original has a stamped in H directly opposite the matrix, no H means bootleg.

Very alike other than that.

John Manships price guide 5th edition would be very useful to you (dont buy the new one it hasn't got the bootleg/original info in it)
