Russ Vickers Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 I heard there was a connection, but assumed it was one of those NS myths, something along the lines of a family connection... Russ
Speedlimit Posted March 5, 2013 Author Posted March 5, 2013 Hi Russ that's what i heard to but can't find any documented proof , if there isnt you'd have thought there would have been some sort of law suit issued for use of group name
Dave Pinch Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 i`ll stand the drop of york if theres any connection other than the name
Chalky Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 They were called something else before Black Eyed Peas.

Benji Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Here's one for you all do you think there's any connection No.
Guest Dave Turner Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 They were called something else before Black Eyed Peas. According to Wiki they were Atban Klann I can't see any connection. The present group were 8th graders in 1988 so around 13 years of age and residing in LA The Ultra City 45 is one of Choker Campbell's labels (Detroit) and came out 5 years before they were born
Gene-r Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 I've long believed that Smallest Man Alive was released in 1970.
Mal C Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 (edited) I've often thought whether the BEP had heard the 'Ultra City' record, I'd say thats a pretty good track for them to re record, wouldn't you? Mal Edited March 6, 2013 by Mal.C.
Gene-r Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 (edited) Is it just coincidental that four of the Black Eyed Peas singles share names of singles picked up on the Northern scene? Where Is The Love I Got A Feeling Meet Me Halfway Don't Lie Edited March 6, 2013 by Gene-R
