i bought both the 7 & 12 off pete widison in the 90's.

think paid £4 for each.

was just a fill in till got the dells 45.which i did off pete on uk for £7.

i came across the p/c for the 7 in the house 2 years ago with no record in it.must of sold 45 & kept p/c ?.

dont know if withdrawn but cant see why it reached that price.

It ain't that rare on 7", there were quite a few copies about at the time of its release.

Of course, most who now seek copies weren't interested in it back then.

I got a couple of copies for just pence and also a 12" copy (though that mix is crap compaired to the 7" version).

Still got 1 copy of both the 7 & 12 somewhere here.

Others may disagree with me but both The Dells and Tops version of this are pretty terrible records, whereas the Laura Lee still sounds great. She really gets inside the song, which is actually quite wistful and sad.

Levi Stubbs and Marvin Junior are two of the finest singers singers who ever drew breath, but for me they both miss the mark on this one.
